Media Advisory Services (MAS), MDIF’s technical assistance division, has teamed up with the Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN) to provide expert business advice to investigative journalists worldwide.
The GIJN is an association of journalism organisations that supports the training and sharing of information among investigative and data journalists, with special attention to those from repressive regimes and marginalised communities.
GIJN has launched GIJN Advisory Services to further its mission to strengthen and spread in-depth watchdog journalism and provide a raft of new tools and resources to watchdog media.
Among its services are resources on business and management, legal support and safety and security. MAS is partnering with GIJN to offer expert business advice to watchdog media selected by GIJN to receive advice about such issues as revenue diversification, effective management techniques and sustainability strategies.
