Journalists from Russia, Turkey and Croatia were among those honoured by the European Press Prize at a special ceremony in London on 17 March 2014. MDIF co-founded the EPP – a “Pulitzer Prize for Europe” – with a grouping of other European media-owning foundations, including the Guardian Foundation, Reuters Foundation, SDM from the Netherlands and Denmark’s Politiken Foundation. It recognizes the best journalism from the 47 countries of Europe and promotes the civic debate it engenders.
